According to XDA Member Beeko, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow AICP 11.0 ROM is now released for Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 SM- G900V [ kltevzw].
AICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, Rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isnt CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them.

I had already rooted it and was going to perform a ROM backup and during the install of the recovery the phone froze (for about 15 mins) so I unplugged the battery & charger and It went fully dead, no boot animation or pc recognition whatsoever. I was going to install TWRP recovery to backup and make my own ROM to see if I can get any decent life into it. This phone Is nothing special to me since I bought an iPhone 5c 3 years ago instead because I couldnt bare to look at how horrendously bad this samsung phone is.

Hello everyone,
So I am very new to the concepts of rooting and custom roms, and I know I should have done some more research before I started. But now I have gotten myself into a bit of a pickle. I have the SM-G920P (Sprint) S6 and earlier this week I managed to root the phone and use TWRP to download and flash a custom rom. I used MD5: 7c1d34f7ab066104c924fb7a960b57d0 to install Renegade and then the phone booted just fine. I made the mistake afterwords when I let the phone reboot, but I had not turned on the option for OEM so now my phone is stuck in a boot that gives me a FRM lock because of the custom binary. It will not let me get into the andriod recovery (volume up, home, and power) but I can get to the download mode. I cannot seem to get any firmware to flash onto the device because I always get a fail after NAND write. Any help or direction from here would be great, Thanks.

Now that Marshmallow update is available for the Galaxy J7, J5 and J3, you might want to know how to get root on the newer firmware versions before installing the update.
Thankfully, the latest SuperSU zip with systemless root works for Marshmallow releases by Samsung. So, to get root on your J series devices, all you gotta do is get a custom recovery like TWRP installed and then flash the SuperSU zip to get root access.

÷ How Root Samsung Galaxy J7/J5 /J3 on Marshmallow 6.0 Update
1- Download TWRP recovery ,SuperSU v2.65 and Odin 3.10.6 for your device.
2- Unzip the Odin 3.10.6 .zip file and run/open Odin3 v3.10.6.exe file from the extracted files on your PC.
3- Make sure you’ve downloaded a Odin flashable TWRP recovery .tar file compatible for your device.
(If applicable) Enable OEM unlock:
Go to Settings » About phone » and tap “Build number” seven times to enable “Developer options”.
4- Go back to main Settings page, scroll to bottom and select “Developer options” from there.
5- Under Developer options, look for “Enable OEM unlock” checkbox/toggle and make sure you Check it or turn it ON.
6- Boot your device into Download mode:
Switch off your device.
7- Press and hold “Home + Power + Volume down” buttons for a few seconds until you see a warning screen.
8- Press Volume Up on the warning screen to accept it and boot into Download mode.
9- Once your device is in download mode, connect it to the PC with a USB cable. The Odin window on PC should detect the device and show an “Added!!” message.
10- Now click on the AP tab on Odin window and select the TWRP recovery .tar file that you downloaded for your device.
? Note: DON’T play with any other options on the screen. You’re only required to connect your device and select the TWRP recovery .tar file in the AP tab.
11- Click the Start button on Odin and wait for it to finish the process. Once it has finished successfully, you’ll see a pass message on the Odin screen.
Your device will automatically reboot when Odin is done flashing. You can then disconnect your device.
12- Now transfer the SuperSU zip file from the download link above to your device’s storage.
13- Boot your device into TWRP recovery.
Tap on “Install” and select the SuperSU zip file that you transferred to your device in Step 1.
14-After selecting the .zip file, do “Swipe to Confirm Flash” on the bottom of screen to begin the flashing process.
15- Once SuperSU is flashed, you’ll get “Reboot System” option, select it.
Congratulations! Your device should be rooted now. Look for the SuperSU app in app drawer.

Guten Abend die Damen und Herren
Leider kam ich heute ohne grosse Erfahrung Betreff ROM Flash auf die Idee mein Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Marshmallow auf ein bestimmtes Rom zu flashen damit XPose auf x64 Geräten läuft aber nun startet es nicht mehr und frierft beim Erscheinungsbild "Samsung Galaxy S6 edge" ein. Ich komme nur in den Odins-Modus und der Computer erkennt das Handy, aber nun komm ich nicht mehr weiter. Wie bring ich nun das handy wieder zu laufen, das ist nun mein einziges Ziel, danach mach ich nicht mehr am Gerät selber ^^. Ist mir dann eine Lehre, sonst muss ich morgen ein neues kaufen gehen aber hoffe das mir jemand weiterhelfen kann ahbe nicht so viel geld für ein neues-.- ....;):rolleyes:;)

I was messing around with trying to root my tablet and I seem to have gotten in a state I have not been able to figure out how to recover from. Starting the device now just opens the recovery screen with the message (at the bottom of the screen): "E: failed to mount /system (Invalid argument)" Factory reset doesnt work and I have tried using odin to flash the stock recovery for my device listed at http://ift.tt/1VlZ8Fc
I have been trying to find the stock firmware from other sites, but I have been unable to find a download link that isnt throttled (as in it takes less than 9 hours to download). I will try one of those site tonight, but I thought I would try asking about it here first. Let me know if I need to provide any other information.

Completo tutorial para flashear Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 GT-I8160 con el software Odin, y les dejo los Firmwares originales para todas las regiones del mundo. Odin puede ser utilizado para instalar ROMs o firmwares en los dispositivos Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 I8160 también se puede utilizar para obtener acceso root, flashear recoverys, flashear ROMs modificadas, hacer particiones e instalar kernels. En nuestros tutoriales solemos utilizar este software para realizar muchos procedimientos, como son el flasheo de una ROM, la instalación de un nuevo Recovery etc.
- ARCHIVOS NECESARIOS :
- Controlador USB [DESCARGAR] o Kies [DESCARGAR]
- Odin v3 [DESCARGAR]
- Rom, Firmware Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 GT-I8160 [DESCARGAR]
- Bateria por lo menos al 50%
- PASOS A SEGUIR :
- Instale el controlador USB de Samsung o Kies en su ordenador
- Extraer el firmware Samsung Galaxy con rar victoria para encontrar el archivo .md5
- Apagar el celular
- Pasos a seguir (Download mode). Tener el dispositivo completamente apagado Mantener presionado durante 5 segundo Volumen Abajo + Home + Power Aparecerá un mensaje de Warning (pero no se alarmen), presionar Volumen Arriba para ingresar a Download Mode, con Volumen Abajo el Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 I8160 booteará normal

- Conectar por cable USB el Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 GT-I8160 a la computadora, Odin debe reconocer al dispositivo, nos daremos cuenta porque abajo de donde dice ID:CON aparecerá el cuadro sombreado de amarillo.
- Click en el botón PDA y seleccionar PDA_XXXXX.md5
- Ver que la opción Re-Partition NO esté seleccionada
- Click en Start
- Esperar a que salga PASS en fondo verde en Odin
- Listo!
Si por algún motivo se te queda booteando en el logo de Samsung, apaga el celular, reinicia en Recovery Mode Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 GT-I8160 y realiza un wipe data y wipe cache.

How to Root T Mobile Samsung Galaxy On5 G550T T1
Official TWRP Recovery Now Available for the T-Mobile On5, you can get the device rooted easily by flashing latest SuperSU zip via the recovery’s install menu.
Thanks to jcadduono over at xda though, for bringing the under development build of TWRP for T-Mobile Galaxy On5 G550T which (apparently) works absolutely fine on the device.
Grab the T-Mobile Galaxy On5 TWRP recovery 3.0.2-0 build from the download link below and follow the quick instructions to flash the recovery using Odin and get root with SuperSU zip.

How to Root T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy On5 G550T/T1:
1- Download T-Mobile Galaxy On5 TWRP 3.0.2-0 , Odin 3.10.7 and SuperSu v2.76 (stable, latest)
2- Unzip the Odin 3.10.7 .zip file and run/open Odin3 v3.10.6.exe file from the extracted files on your PC.
3- (If applicable) Enable OEM unlock:
Go to Settings » About phone » and tap “Build number” seven times to enable “Developer options”.
4- Go back to main Settings page, scroll to bottom and select “Developer options” from there.
5- Under Developer options, look for “Enable OEM unlock” checkbox/toggle and make sure you Check it or turn it ON.
6- Boot your device into Download mode:
Switch off your device.
Press and hold “Home + Power + Volume down” buttons for a few seconds until you see a warning screen.
7- Press Volume Up on the warning screen to accept it and boot into Download mode.
8- Once your device is in download mode, connect it to the PC with a USB cable. The Odin window on PC should detect the device and show an “Added!!” message.
9- Now click on the AP tab on Odin window and select the TWRP recovery .tar file that you downloaded for your device.
? Note: DON’T play with any other options on the screen. You’re only required to connect your device and select the TWRP recovery .tar file in the AP tab.
10- Click the Start button on Odin and wait for it to finish the process. Once it has finished successfully, you’ll see a pass message on the Odin screen.
11-Your device will automatically reboot when Odin is done flashing. You can then disconnect your device.
12- Transfer the SuperSU zip file from the download link above to your device’s storage.
13- Now Boot into TWRP recovery and take a full backup (optional) from the recovery options.
14- Tap on “Install” and select the SuperSU zip file that you transferred to your device in Step 1.
15- After selecting the .zip file, do “Swipe to Confirm Flash” on the bottom of screen to begin the flashing process.
16- Once SuperSU is flashed, you’ll get “Reboot System” option, select it.
Congratulations! Your device should be rooted now. Look for the SuperSU app in app drawer.

Thanks to Developer "ganesh varma" over at xda, a new version of TWRP recovery is already available for the Galaxy J5 running on Marshmallow 6.0.1 PG2 firmware and so you can root your Samsung Galaxy J5 (J500H) on latest Marshmallow 6.0 update with software build PG2 Easily.
The new TWRP recovery is reportedly working fine for the Galaxy J5 on Marshmallow, and flashing the latest SuperSU zip from TWRP’s install menu gets your J5 rooted too on the 6.0.1 update.
