Google celebrates the Chromecasts third birthday

nexusae0_CR1 Has it already been three years since the original Chromecast came out? My, how the time flies when youre streaming video. Google marked the occasion on the Google Stores Plus page with the nifty animation below, but there arent any promotional deals. Not that you really need them - its $35, for cryin out loud.

While the little streaming gadget isnt a great feat of technical engineering, it doesnt have to be - the Chromecasts strength is in its simplicity and ultra-low price point.
