Google Photos Stats
Google has some stats about Google Photos, the online photo sharing service released 5 months ago. Google Photos has 100 million monthly active users. They created more than 15 million animations and collages and their backed-up photos and videos use more than 3,720 TB of storage.
Paris is the top photographed place, followed by New York and Barcelona. Besides people, food and cars are the most photographed things. Sky, beaches and mountains are also included in the top 10 things photographed by Google users. The top 6 events in Google Photos are: wedding, concerts, Christmas, dancing, birthday and clubbing.
The most popular searches are for baby photos, but "me" is also a popular query.

Google announced that Google+ Photos will no longer be available in a few weeks, so everyone will have to switch to Google Photos. "In an effort to ensure everyone has the best photos experience we can deliver, on August 1st well start to shut down Google+ Photos - initially on Android, and soon thereafter on the Web and iOS." Google has recently discontinued the Google+ Photos app for Chrome.
Google Photos was launched 2 months ago and there are many missing features. For examples, some powerful editing features from Google+ Photos for desktop are not yet available in Google Photos, global Auto Enhance is missing and you cant cast photos, organize albums, edit location and date taken or tag people in Google Photos.
Since both services are 2 interfaces that show almost the same photos and videos, you can find most of your files in Google Photos. Apparently, photos shared in Blogger and Hangouts are only available in Picasa Web Albums, for now. If you dont like Googles new service, theres always Google Takeout, which lets you export all your photos and videos.

How to remove the Prisma logo watermark from your photos
A simple settings change can remove the unsightly logo from your pics.
With the unique photo-filtering app Prisma now available on Android, its worth underscoring one of the most important settings changes you can make. By default, Prisma adds its own logo to every image you share from the app. But its easy to disable this watermark from within the apps settings.
- First, make sure youre at Prismas top-level menu — to get here you might need to hit the "back" key a few times.
- Once youre there, hit the settings button (the cog icon) to load the settings page.
- Uncheck the "Add watermark" setting.
- Press the "back" key again to return to where you were before.
With the watermark option disabled, your photos will no longer show the Prisma logo in the bottom right corner. Hurrah!

Google Photos Search Filters
Google Photos Search Filters
Google+ Photos has a few search filters that are pretty useful. You can find them if you click the small arrow from the search box: Auto Backup, Hangouts, Google Drive, Posts, Auto Awesome, Videos and more. The nice thing is that most of them are also available in Google Photos.
Google Photos has a search page that shows a few filters: Creations (replaces Auto Awesome), Google Drive, Video, Recently Added. Here are some searches you can use to bring back the filters from Google+ Photos:
#AutoBackup - shows all the photos automatically backed up from your mobile devices and desktop computers
#Desktop - shows the photos automatically backed up from your desktop computers
#Posts - shows the photos added to your Google+ posts
#All - shows all your photos
#PhotosOfYou - photos youve been tagged in
#CAMERANAME - replace CAMERANAME with the your cameras model or brand to see all the photos taken with that camera. Some examples: #Nexus5, #Canon, #iPhone.
